Description
On the slopes of 14,264-foot Mount Evans, at treeline, ancient Bristlecone Pines grow for thousands of years. At altitude in the Colorado Rocky Mountains, the growing season is only a few weeks long, which requires tenacity for the trees to reach this size, over thousands of years. Bristlecone Pines can live for longer than 7,000 years, making them the longest-living life forms on Earth.
