The Sangre de Christo mountain range rises dramatically above the dune field of Great Sand Dunes National Park. The setting sun combines with a building storm's wind to create an ethereal atmospheric quality that lends an otherworldly color palette to the scene.

About Adam Pender
Adam is a self-taught photographer who started taking pictures on a winter camping trip in northern Minnesota. Now based out of Denver, with frequent travel, his photographic portfolio has been expanded beyond fine art landscapes to include a variety of other subject matter from coast to coast and beyond. His photography continues to be fueled by his love of adventure and exploration, and frequently reflects his unique view of the world around him.
