At the Anhinga trail in Everglades National Park in southern Florida, the waters teem with alligators. During the dry season, the wildlife congregates in the few remaining areas of open water, leading to many opportunities to photograph these impressive creatures at close range. A fortunate lull in the wind near sunset enabled the crystal-clear reflection of this gator's tail, while the diffuse clouds lent a warm color to the even light-ideal for this type of photography.

About Adam Pender
Adam is a self-taught photographer who started taking pictures on a winter camping trip in northern Minnesota. Now based out of Denver, with frequent travel, his photographic portfolio has been expanded beyond fine art landscapes to include a variety of other subject matter from coast to coast and beyond.
