After an evening of torrential rains which led to landslides which closed the access road, the vibrant green foliage of freshly-watered aspen trees is illuminated by the first rays of sunlight penetrating the remaining clouds from the storm. South Maroon Peak towers above Maroon Lake, showing off the gorgeous light from this 5:30 am sunrise.

Adam is a self-taught photographer who started taking pictures on a winter camping trip in northern Minnesota.
