In Dry Tortugas National Park, in the brick fortress of Fort Jefferson, a dark and eerie spiral staircase is illuminated with only the light of a small slot window. The stairs are cut from stone, or more precisely, from coral. In this gritty photo, the small amount of light on the stairs lends an abstract composition.
About Adam Pender
Adam is a self-taught photographer who started taking pictures on a winter camping trip in northern Minnesota. Now based out of Denver, with frequent travel, his photographic portfolio has been expanded beyond fine art landscapes to include a variety of other subject matter from coast to coast and beyond.
